Isis is a 16.6 metre (55 foot) performance orientated sailing luxury cruising catamaran built to the highest standard with the very best of sailing and safety equipment .

We specialise in taking 1 or 2 couples (booking of 2 couples who are friends) and supplying great service, exciting, safe sailing, diving, sight seeing, often dolphin and whale watching, fishing and relaxing, together with great food prepared to our guests requirements in safe, calm and beautiful overnight anchorages. All soft drinks are supplied. Guests are to bring their own alcoholic requirements.

We also offer day sailing trips of 3 or 6 hours for up to 15 people.

We generally sail the North East Coast of the North Island of New Zealand. There are 300 islands to visit in this area, most with beautiful anchorages. There is also 350 miles of mainland coastline, also with many beautiful anchorages, many only reached by boat. The area is steeped in New Zealand history and we have a great knowledge of that history. We can pick up and drop off in Auckland or the Bay of Islands. Many chartered guests have had us pick up in Auckland and drop off in the Bay of Islands or vice versa. The latter is the best way to see more of the coastline but the duration of the charter must be 7 days minimum.

We are licensed to sail the entire coastline of New Zealand. For adventurous sailing people who wish to sail and cruise to some of New Zealand’s remote, beautiful spots we can, with confirmed charters of 14 days duration with deposit paid 6 months in advance, we can design a charter trip around any part of the New Zealand Coast including Marlborough Sounds, Able Tasman National Park, Tasman Bay and Golden Bay, D’Urville Island, Fiordland Sounds and Stewart Island. These would be one way trips from Auckland or the Bay of Islands with air flights back to Auckland.

With our 1 way sailing up the coast we are able to drop our guests at some of the world renown golf resorts on the coast egg. Kauri Cliffs Golf Resort or Carrington Golf Resort on the stunning Cape Karikari Peninsular, or at any of the many other tourist destinations in Northland and the Bay of Plenty. We cater for all tastes with food and drinks and our sailing can be extensive and exhilarating or relaxed cruising.

The yacht has crew accommodation in the port hull and guest accommodation in the starboard hull assuring total evening privacy. Guest cabins have their own ensuite with shower. We have a 3.2 metre RIB dinghy with a 15 hp Yamaha and a 2.6 inflatable dinghy with a 2hp Yamaha for your use to go ashore. We also have a 4.5 metre sailing dinghy for those with small boat sailing experience. We carry a limited amount of fishing gear and masks, snorkels and fins. We have aboard satellite television, satellite phone, internet and e mail service and an extensive library of DVD movies and CD music

My wife and I run a professional crewed sailing catamaran charter business. We are very experienced having sailed all our lives. Our experience includes 4 round the world yacht races, 2 Olympic Games and 7 years running weather programs for the Americas cup. All our sailing trips are tailored to suit the prevailing weather conditions for the very best cruise.

Our season in New Zealand is 15 October thru to 15 April. We are then available in the Pacific Islands from 15 June thru to 15 August.
